(IsraelNN.com) State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss criticized Israel's defense establishment in the annual report he submitted to acting Knesset Speaker Michael Eitan Monday afternoon. The report includes sharp criticism for the country's preparedness for an attack using unconventional weapons.
Given the military's program to collect gas masks and defense kits following the Second Gulf War, the report says civilians have only a reduced number of effective kits. It calls the fact that most will not be protected "a serious failure that endangers lives."
