The Literal & Inspirited Written Word of YHVH Elohim....
It has been stated, by either the ignorant or the deceived, that the Written Word of YHVH Elohim/God has to now days be only interpreted by us/man, (usually this is being espoused by those who suggest this themselves, even as them wanting to be your guides in their interpretations, and that is an important point in itself to have discernment about!), through study as to what is valid and what is not, because (they say) it has been modified and changed so much for 1000’s of years now, that much/most of it is not the Word of Elohim/God YHVH. – This is a total and absolute false assumption! – I’ll give just a few factoid talking points, that one would be wise to consider, especially f you’ve found yourself agreeing with that false notion….
First, there is far and away way more evidence in manuscripts, numbering in the 1000’s, for the Bible / The Written Word of God, than any other ancient writing in the history of mankind! -(Be a Berean, not a scoffer: Research all the following, I don’t have the time to give a detailed apologia at this point and in this Email)- For example….
When you read the writings of ‘textual criticism authors’, you are basically reading for the most part people who have an agenda, the least of which is to sell their books. - I’d suggest you throw out most all of what they have to say then, and only come back to it when you’ve circumspectively examined the rest of the evidence. - There are 1000’s of manuscripts of the New Testament in Greek, and hundreds in Biblical-Aramaic (Syriac), and also many many more in ancient Latin and various other language groups. Far far more than for any other ancient writing in the history of mankind….
First off: Some will contend that because the majority of Manuscripts we have of the New Covenant are in Greek, (not Hebrew), they are invalid. (NOTE: Let’s forget that those who are saying this false contention are doing so in English which also isn’t Hebrew J - Regardless: That is a stupid point for them to even bring up! – Greek was the common world language in the 1st Century, even as English is in the world today. – It would be expedient, even necessary, for the Disciples/Apostles to use Greek to reach the House of Israel in the Diaspora, and the Nations/Goyim, as that is what most of them spoke in the 1st Century AD/(b.c.e.)! – Just like most Jews in the Diaspora today (especially in the USA) only speak English for the most part. – That by all sense of logic does NOT invalidate the Apostolic Scripture being given then in the 1st century in Greek to the Diaspora Jews! –(NOTE: Just a side note…The Greek Manuscripts we have of the New Covenant are written in an unusual dialect of Greek called ‘Hellenistic’ Greek that was particular to the Nation of Israel in the 1st Century, it wasn’t classical Greek!...That in itself should say something to you – if you are listening that is J - Are their indications that Matthew, Mark and the 1st half of Acts were 1st written in Hebrew – of course there are! – Logic even dictates it would be so. - But does that mean then that the oversight of the Disciples and Apostles towards the 2nd half of the 1st Century AD/(b.c.e.) of the Apostolic Writings to be given in Greek to the Nations was somehow a digression from YHVH Elohim’s Word, of course not! – Gosh, get some discernment folks!
In the vast majority of these, the Majority Texts (including the Receptus) of the New Covenant, we have a variance all of these 1000’s of hand-written Manuscripts that amounts to only about 1 sheet of paper written on both sides!!! – This in itself is incredible, and most of those variances are only spelling/grammatical errors! –(The Minority Texts present a problem, but that will be dealt with shortly). – Furthermore: if one looks at the variances between the Greek Manuscripts and the Biblical-Syriac, Penutsta and Evangelion de MaPharishee, one sees that the Majority Greek Text Manuscripts very much agree; while the Minority Texts so less often agree. –(So… You want to say at this point I don’t know what I’m talking about? – Well, I speak as a man according to the present distress of myself: I’ve spent 7 years comparing all the various texts and outlined them in the MNV I’ve published and made available online!, did you?!)- Folks: There are NO Doctrinal difference between all the Majority Texts, including the Receptus and Aramiac, in all of these 1000’s of manuscripts! – That in itself should stop the contention!
Now: The Minority Texts are basically: The Alexandria texts. These have now recently by many scholars been called into question, as the Minority Texts themselves are seen as disagreeing with themselves. The Sinicatus Ms. has far more deletions that it’s contemporary Minority text(s) do. – Add to that the understanding that…
The Minority Texts were the work of unbelieving Egyptian scribes who did not accept the Bible as the Word of God or JESUS as the SON of GOD!
The Minority Texts abound with alterations, often a single manuscript being amended by several different scribes over a period of many years; something the Aaronic priests and Masorites would never have tolerated when making copies of the Scriptures.
The Minority Texts omit approximately 200 verses from the Scriptures. This is equivalent to 1st and 2nd Peter. Pause and consider that stunning fact!
The Minority Texts contradict themselves in hundreds of places.
The Minority Texts are doctrinally weak and often dangerously incorrect.
…And further Origen who had the oversight of the place where the Minority Texts were found, was considered himself a heretic we see from historical accounts. And most of the discrepancies even in the Minority Texts involve deletions, not additions. – Sadly: Most modern translations of Scripture rely (falsely) on the Minority Texts from an assumption that they are somewhat older, so they must be correct. –(That sad fact can be discerned to be incorrect where Monte Judah was rebuked from many Messianic sources/scholars when he said that Hebrews should be ripped out of the Bible, and one of his main contentions was: It said the High Priest had the altar in the Holy of Holies, instead of the Golden Censer as Torah and 1000’s of Majority Texts and other language N.T. Manuscripts correctly states! – Had he been reading a Majority text version [1000’s of manuscripts], he never would have made that error from his going instead by a Minority Text reading – Alas: This error continues to this day, and with no repentance on his part.
As far as the Tanakh: We are shown that the Sopherim codified the text of Tanakh beginning in the time, of the Bible Itself: “…Their work, under Ezra and Nehemiah, was to set the Text in order after the return from Babylon; and we read of it in Neh. 8:8 (*1) (cp. Ezra 7:6, 11). The men of "the Great Synagogue" completed the work. This work lasted about 110 years, from Nehemiah to Simon the first, 410 - 300 B.C.”… - This has been promoted by some (and I suggest those wanting to sell book and promote themselves) as being a startling revelation that the Word has been changed. – I draw just the opposite conclusion! – The fact that the Bible itself mentions this codifying of Tanakh in itself gives me confidence to Its integrity! – And yet, we also see that the contention is that the Sopherim substituted the Title of YHVH, Adonai, 134 or 135 times in Tanakh (as if that again, in their mind, is some reason to say that Tanakh is unreliable). – But what is usually NOT brought out from those suggesting this is: The Name YHVH Itself is Written 6,519 times in Tanakh by those very same Sopherim!!! – Now ask yourselves this question then: Should the minor Scribal notes of the Sopherim in the Massoretic Texts of Tanakh be seen as a corruption of YAH’s Word? – Do we know for 100% certain that the Sopherim themselves weren’t only stating that they felt YHVH was indicated there, and that the reader should note that? – If the contention was they removed it 134 or 135 times out of respect of the Name YHVH, then why did they retain it 6,519 times!!! – And especially when one notes that the inclusion of YHVH in those passages would enhance, not distract, from YHVH. – Think folks: Don’t swallow everything you read in print!
Some of the (false) “Scholars” who’d have you believe that the Word of God has no integrity, or cannot today be taken literally today, have also stated in that past that we have only late Massoretic copies of the Tanakh, and that it has been changed. – BUT!, Consider the following: A couple decades ago, it was discovered in the Qumran/Dead-Sea community, copies of all but one or so of the entire Tanakh [Old Testament], from late Biblical times. Now, keep in mind that the Qumran community did NOT follow the Pharisees nor the Sadducees or Scribes, as they considered them as having been polluted by Rome. – Then further consider that yet their (the Qumran Community) copies of the Tanakh [O.T.] are virtually 100% the same as the Massoretic Texts that we have copies of 1000 years later!!! – Are you starting to see a pattern here?!....
There is much much more I could give in an apologia on this subject, but I don’t have the time – I’ll just conclude them with….
Are there digressions from the Word of God that the enemy has thrown up over the centuries? – Yup. - But is the Word of God/YHVH intact and available today – YUP! – Don’t throw out the Word of YHVH Elohim then – Rather: Throw out those who’d suggest you throw out the Word of YHVH Elohim!!!!
Yeshua Hu YHVH
