Bandar, Iran, Islamic Republic of - On Wednesday, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake rocked the southern region of Iran, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake’s depth was measured at 6.2 miles. The quake was located 90 miles northeast of Bandar-e Abbas and 610 miles southeast of the Iranian capital, Tehran. Last month, Iran experienced a 5.0 magnitude earthquake but there were no reports of injuries, deaths or damages. Wednesday’s earthquake happened the same day as Indonesia, once again, was struck by two earthquakes, both magnitude-4. Indonesia has been hit by dozens of earthquakes in the last two weeks.
