These are the major questions surrounding this controversial topic and I am quite sure there are more. But this is where I will start because the answers to these questions will resolve most of the misunderstanding. So let's begin...
Let's begin with the first question:
SHOULD WE KEEP SUNDAY IN HONOR OF THE RESURRECTION?
~~~~~~~~~~
You can't find a single verse anywhere in the Bible that tells us to do this or gives us a quotation by Y'shua or the disciples saying this... Period!
History confirms that there were some Christian leaders (now called the early “Church Fathers”) that yielded to temptation and began shifting to Sunday around 90-120 A.D. to avoid persecution for Judaism. “Jesus Christ rose on Sunday!” became their rationalizing cry. So they used the resurrection of Jesus, who “died for our sins” (1 Corinthians 15:3), 1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
of which sin is the breaking of God’s Law (1 John 3:4), Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
as an excuse to break one of the Ten Commandments.
There would have needed to be a new commandment given to change the Seventh day God made Holy to the first day, but no such commandment exists in scripture. Such a change would also seriously contradict the words of Jesus who said that not even a comma of the law is going to change. (Matthew 5:17-19), Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
