NABLUS, West Bank - The Israeli military says a Palestinian stabbed a 9-year-old Israeli boy in a West Bank settlement outpost, setting off clashes that left injured six Palestinians.

The military says the boy was hospitalized with slight injuries.
The military said Saturday events began when a Palestinian man set fire to an abandoned building in an outpost of the Israeli settlement of Yitzhar. The military says the boy saw him, called for help and was then stabbed by the Palestinian.
The mayor of the nearby Palestinian village of Assira Kubliyeh says hundreds of Yitzhar settlers then went on a rampage in the village.
Mayor Hosni Sharaf says settlers fired guns in the air, overturned a car and broke windows in three houses. The military imposed a curfew.
The mayor says six Palestinians were injured, including two shot by live rounds.
