Jeremiah 51: 8Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. 9We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. 10The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
[In the book 'One Man' by Francis Frangipane, writes]: ...He says, "If you can find a man . . . who does justice . . . then I will pardon [Jerusalem]." One holy person in an unholy city can actually turn away God's wrath. One godly individual who remains righteous while living among the ungodly, who cares for a community or a family or a school or a neighborhood or a church, swings open the door for mercy....If just one heart refuses to give in to the intimidation of increasing wickedness, if that one refuses to submit to hopelessness, fear, or unbelief, it is enough to exact from heaven a delay of wrath. You, my friend, can be that one who obtains forgiveness for your city, who stands between the godless past and a God-filled future!...The manifestation on earth of one Christlike intercessor perfectly restrains God's need for judgment on a society....Yes, it is true. One man or woman who reveals Messiah's heart on earth will defer God's judgment from heaven....
Yet: To everything there is a season...Do not put YAH in a box or a formula!...as by saying either that: He would not do good, nor in saying that He would not bring Judgment; but always our intercession led of the Holy Spirit must end in: Thy Will, not mine, be done. - For: Contrary to the quote in the paragraph above, we see that Scripture also clearly says....
Jeremiah 15: 1 Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth. 2And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity. 3And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy....
(Verse 3 above also echoes the warnings in Daniel of those who are appointed to such things in the end-times.) There is a conditional Judgment, as in Jonah and Nineva; and there is a not to be repented of Judgment, as in....
Jeremiah 4: 27For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. 28For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it. 29The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.
And remember, Jeremiah even went so far as to say to the false prophet Hananiah's exhortation (yet only the 1st! time he said it): "Jeremiah 6aEven the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied..." - For while it was an exhorting word, yet it was a word 'out of season' and so was false, for when he repeated it and broke the yoke off Jeremiah...."Jeremiah 28: 15Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD." - If the false prophet would have shut up then, his words would still had been false even though they were as an exhortation yet they were words out of season - but instead when he repeated them, he was slain for them!
It is decreed that in the end-times, Judgment must begin at the house of God. And we know that the world will enter Judgment and be shaken before Messiah Yeshua returns. What should we be praying for them?...Still we should intercede for mercy, for Scripture also says that in the midst of the severe Judgment that Israel goes though, they were still exhorted to pray YAH for mercy that if perhaps He would leave a blessing behind Him: " Joel 2: 11And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? 12Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 13And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. 14Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?" - Even though Judgment is decreed, and it is determined that it will come, yet who knows what Mercies YHVH will still show to those Who seek Him even in the midst of it.
This type of Judgment then while it will not be stopped, yet the severity of the Judgment is somewhat dependent on the Prayer Intercession Obediance and Repentance of the Body of Messiah, as we can see in part shown by what we were told: "Matthew 24: 20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." - So if we are to pray it doesn't happen at a specific time or else it will be worse...then if He hears our prayers, and so it happens at another time, then it will be lessened....So then even in the midst of what will take place, the degree of the severity of that Judgment is in part determined on our being faithful to His Will and our call to prayer and intercession.
Above all Tshuvah/Repent and draw close to Yeshua Messiah now. - Pray for your families and children - pray for the Body of Messiah and those who will be heirs of Salvation - for the weak Believers and the innocent, that they may be Strengthened by His Strength to endure in the days ahead. Pray for the Perfect Will of YHVH.
In Yeshua Messiah's Name, amen.
