An All Natural Medicine Chest

Natural medicine has a different approach to maintaining and regaining health.

Allopathic medicine waits until there is a clinical disease process and then treats the symptoms, only occasionally curing the disease if it is an infection.

Natural medicine seeks to prevent the clinical manifestation of disease. If it occurs we try to see to the underlying cause all the while supporting the bodies natural curative process.

First: See to basic nutrition and stress reduction if possible.
Basic nutrition will involve eating as many unprocessed foods as possible and excluding grains as much as possible (too many reasons to list).

DIETARY RECOMMENDATIONS:
Follow the recommendations in the book, Eat Drink and Be Healthy by Dr. Walter Willett M.D. Dr.Willett is with Harvard University.

To simplify his recommendations:
Avoid white foods ( refined grains), unnatural fats (hydrogenated oils, margarine etc) and processed foods.

Eat primarily green foods with adequate protein at 2-3 oz per serving. Approximately one serving of protein and 3-5 servings of vegetables, per meal And one to two tablesthingys of good fats or oils per meal, this is optimum.

Eat only good oils such as olive, sunflower, safflower, limited amounts of animal fats and butter.

SUPPLEMENTS: ( natural versions only)
Vitamin- A B- Complex, C- Complex, Vitamin D-3, Omega 3 fats, Calcium Magnesium, Iodine and trace minerals in therapeutic doses, or
2-8 times the RDA.


INFECTIOUS DISEASE

We seek to support the bodies own immune system and healing process. This is a three prong approach.

First, Immune support:
*Echinacea, preferably a tincture that has a tingling effect on the tongue.
Mushroom complexes, more expensive but stronger.
Colostrum and thymus are often helpful.
Second, Probiotic support (good germs):
Acidophilus and bifidus several times per day or a *Spectra biotic, which is a combination of many different beneficial germs, again several times per day.

Third, natural antibiotics at therapeutic doses: bacterial (B), viral (V), fungal (F) and parasitic (P) products:
PRODUCTS: *d-Lenolate, (B,V,F) Grape seed extract, (B,V,F) *colloidal silver (B,V), Pau D' Arco (F), *Black walnut hulls tincture (P) and Oregano oil (V).

One of the best all around anti-viral, antibiotics is Olive Leaf Extract. It kills everything pretty fast. You can also use GrapeFRUIT seed Extract with it and or colloidal silver. Triple duty.

If any kind of bio-agent gets on your skin thoroughly and quickly dust yourself with french clay. I keep a couple of very large seasoned salt bottles full of it, just in case. After dusting all skin and scalp surfaces with the clay from head to toe, get rid of your clothes in a plastic garbage bag and shower down with a degreaser. Scrub hard. After toweling off there is a product on the market called Miracle 2 Nutralizer Gel. Rub this all over your body very generously and in your hair & scalp. you can put this gel up your nose with a q-tip , ears and drop it into your eyes safely. I take it internally when my pH gets too acid. If you can't find this then use baking soda as a nutrilizer, but don't put it in your eyes. I have not read this anywhere, but after studying these things for several years, this is what I am prepared to use.

Goldenseal herb should be used for respiratory distress along with extract of lobelia. Goldenseal works by drying up all mucuos membranes. Lobelia should be used sparingly but frequently to help the lungs rid excess moisture. These herbs work great but should not be given to pregnant women except in extreme emergency as the goldenseal causes uterine contractions and the lobelia makes you cough up phlegm.

I have a snakebite kit ready. This one is made for circumstances that could prevent me from seeking medical help. It contains a plastic bottle (16 ounces) full of very strong Black Cohosh root extract. If I were bitten I would take 1 ounce of this extract every hour until bottle is empty.
In this kit there is also approx. 4 ounces of powdered Black Cohosh root, 4 ounces of dried clay (red or green is fine), 4 pieces of gauze and an ace bandage. I would mix some of the dry ingredients into a paste with some of the liquid black cohosh extract and apply directly to bite like chicken salad on a sandwich, nice and thick, then cover this mud poultice with gauze, keeping it all in place with an ace bandage that is firm but NOT TIGHT!! Change this poultice and replace every 2 hours. Pray and stay calm!!!

For severe closed wound infection the best thing is a thick poultice of chopped, crushed white or yellow onions mixed with honey. Spread it on thick, wrap it up. By morning all green pus and infection should be gone.

Skullcap herb is a very good nerve tonic. If I were hit with any type of nerve substance I would "TRY" to take 1 ounce of the extract every hour along with the liquid type of Miracle 2 Nutralizer. I really don't know if this would work for me, but as far as I know it's the best thing I know to use if I can't seek medical care.

I don't even know if I should write this stuff but these are things I have made for my family, just in case.

Yarrow leaf, fresh or dried, acts to clot bleeding wounds. Crush and apply to wound while maintaining pressure. I have used super glue to stop carotid artery bleeding on a beloved pet in an emergency. The area swole up 3 days later and I used Butchers Broom to open the flow. My dog lived for 6 more years before a fast car got him.

Raw, blisterd skin wounds receive relief from 7 drops of essential oil of Lavendar in 1 ounce of olive oil. The Lavendar stops the burning. Reapply as needed. The wound will heal without peeling.

Deep wounds are best cleaned by soaking in a pan of tepid water with 2 Tablesthingys of sea salt and 2 ounces of marigold or calendula extract. AFTER bleeding has stopped, of course!!

If blood has clotted on a wound do not ever wash it off. In case of infection I would use the sea salt /marigold soak to remove infection. You can tell there is infection by swelling, pus, redness, or that area feels warmer than other skin, or red streak going from wound toward heart.

Do not try to apply healing salves to open wounds until infection is removed. Sulphur powder or goldenseal powder should be used to treat infected open wound. Sprinkle it in wound after cleaning. Some folks are allergic to sulphur. This type of sulphur powder can be purchased through vet sites for poultry.

Fresh aloe vera leaf water is safest, most healing herb for eyes.
