I live in central Idaho on the cusp of the desert and the high mountain passes with trees. The nearest town south of me is about 60 miles and north of me is the same..........If you are not along the river there is very little water, mostly sagebrush and extreme terrain. In the summer it gets well over 100 degrees out on the highway in between the towns, and in some spots the temp spikes to 120 degrees and at night it gets down right chilly. This is not an area conducive to folks walking or not prepared. We have all the wild animals that you read about from scorpions, to wolves, who are also looking to survive but are much more suited for it. From the town south of here to my town there is no water along the road, the saving grace is the road runs along the river headed north from here to the next town.
Anyway here are some things I have noticed but first this recurring dream, that is why I am up now, is I just had this dream again.......I constantly dream over and over again about refugees headed north. My dream is the time frame of is this summer. I have shared this dream with others here in town and on the net, but all poopoo me. It still gets down to about 32 degrees at night here in the high desert........and up into the high eighties and maybe nineties during the day. When we do see these few wayward souls walking north it is usually around the 1st of June. We usually don't see or get transits coming through this area because of the distance between towns, and the lack of water in between. Usually we get maybe 3 or 4 per year, and if we do get anything other than auto traffic, it will be bicyclist, but generally that is it.
My dream there are thousands and thousands of people headed north on state highway 93. They start out a small dribble and then it is like somebody turned on the water faucet and more and more come. One's and two's and then whole families and towards the end there is just a constant stream of people walking north with no particular destination in mind. Intermixed in these crowds are gang members praying on the helpless victims and yet they keep coming. I can not tell if it is to escape the heat, the violence down south or in search of work somebody told them about.
As these people come through our little town the sheriff's office is overwhelmed with these folks, most just want to get where they are going, but most have no resources at all, so little camps start springing up on both sides of town, not far away, but not in the city limits either. Folks start seeing their live stock disappear or evidence of them being butchered is all that is left. Homes that have nobody there during the day become targets for those who have nothing. Theft an unheard of subject here in my town, becomes the number one issue for the police.
Soon these folks who do have $ along with those who in town see the problem arise, start putting a strain on our two local grocery stores, the end result of course is shortages. Most of these people are urged by the police to move on, but of course they have heard this story before from the towns south of ours. Anyway you can see where this is going, our little town along with all the towns along the way, get over populated, all the resources from EMS......to the grocery stores, to just sanitations, all areas will get over taxed and start to fail. I saw in my dream local folks in each town become vigilantes and put even more stress on these homeless Americans, who was once teachers, mechanic, so and office workers. Sadly the county's and communities within our country will become strong holds for those who live there. Most will move into their little towns and leave their homes in the country, for fear of what might happen when desperate people are put in desperate situations.........Packs of people whether for defense in numbers, or to prey on the unfortunate or unprepared will assemble out of necessity or opportunity, through out this land of the free and brave.
I do not see in my dreams a happy ending. With all the refugees that I see coming to the north country which was once very rural, is soon congested, to include all the states and cities surrounding Idaho. The worst hit is Washington, Montana , and North Dakota, because that is as far as they can go, with Canada closing their borders. When the night mare really starts is when the weather starts to change into the fall. My dream does not go much farther than mid summer, because of the total panic and dysfunction within this country. I have gone over this dream of mine, over and over. If what I see in my dream is this bad in my area, what is it like in the states to the south, east and west of me. Where are all these folks being driven. That is what I have come to the conclusion, is they are being driven for there isn't that much infrastructure, industry, or work to support this amount of people I see in my dream. We are truly starting to see in our country what Europe saw in the late 30's and 40's. I saw it in Viet Nam and now I will see it in my own county. Sadly these folks do not possess the skills to survive without an infrastructure, so what is to come about, will be total anarchy.................In closing......to date I have recorded already 13 walkers passing through, all singles to include one woman by herself................
