Reported: 18:34 PM - Jul/21/09 - (IsraelNN.com) - Russia joined the U.S. Tuesday in criticizing the Israeli project in eastern Jerusalem to build 20 apartments on land owned by a Jewish millionaire. “The [project] should be stopped immediately in line with the roadmap,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said. Israeli officials including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu have strongly rejected the demands to stop construction in eastern Jerusalem. Israel annexed eastern Jerusalem and Netanyahu has said the capital city will remain united. -
